You did't go wrong, in AppCenter is HD Station in version 4.0.2 - you will not install this version on QTS 4.3.6, only HD Station 4.0.1 can do. By doing this, I successfully downloaded HD Station v4.0 but when I tried to install it in my system, I got an error that says "HD Staion can not be installed at this series". To circumvent this just to get HD Station version 4, I deliberately select my QTS version as 4.4 with same unit model, only then HD Station v4.0 would show up as available for download. In my case, having QTS version 4.3.6 and TS-453A as model, only HD Station v3.2.10 is available for download and no version 4.0. Once these parameters are selected, the corresponding available apps for your QTS version and unit model will be shown for you to download. When you download from QNAP's website you'll be prompted first to select your QTS version, number of bays of your unit and unit model. The only Kodi you can install on HDS v3 is the old myKodi 17 Kodi 18 doesn't work with HD Station 3, you will have to upgrade to version 4, QNAP provides this for anyone on QTS 4.3.x
